Day 1: Wonder if I could bike to Seattle on this thing… (Heritage Trail, MD/PA border)
Day 2: Good old Hershey – too bad we couldn’t stay to visit the park or Chocolate World 😦
Day 2: Team CRUSH crushes the first “mountain” – it was hard back then. (To Lykens, PA)
Day 2: A wonderful family in Lykens lets Dylan and I use their showers.
Day 3: I dedicate the ride to Selinsgrove to my brothers in Alpha Phi Omega. Leadership, Friendship, & Service!

Day 4: Dedicated to the grandfathers of my good friend Andrea Carson. One passed, one still fights.
Day 4: Typical 4K evening – we fan out and try to find our space on the floor. (Mansfield, PA)
Day 5: The ride to Ithaca is in memory of Ridge, a friend of a friend who passed from cancer as a young adult.

Day 6: Dedicating today to Jose Hernandez, the father of my aunt. He went in for emergency surgery that next week – happy to say it went well!
Day 6: Taughannock Falls outside of Ithaca, NY. Gorgeous place.

Day 7: We stay at Bethany’s, one of our riders, house. Her dad makes a sweet cake (Rochester NY)
Day 7: Kloe a.k.a. “Wiz” with the puppy.
Day 7: Visit the Hope Lodge in Rochester, NY.

Day 13: We visit the Hope Lodge in Cleveland tomake breakfast and interact with the residents.

Day 14: We “rest” in Sandusky, OH and go to Cedar Point!
Day 15: Happy Father’s Day! I dedicate today to my mother,!
Day 17: Team Super Mario bikes to Lansing, MI. First new state!
Day 17: We pass through Hell, MI as we cycle to Lansing, MI.
Day 17: look, I am home!
Day 18: The group in Grand Rapids, MI
Day 18: We visit the Hope Lodge in Grand Rapids.
Day 19: We visit the beach in South Haven. I walk a good mile along the beach to get back to the host. Amazing time after a LONG day in the lunch van.
Day 20: Started in Baltimore, standing in South Bend, IN, and finishing in Seattle!
Day 21: I dedicate the ride to Chicago to Tom, father of Roy, who passed from cancer. Also to Fred and all the firefighters of the world who are too often the victims of cancer because the choose to serve their community. My thoughts are with you.
Day 21: I find a friend! No one expected that to happen outside Gary, IN!

Day 23: I dedicate today to Lydia, who we just awarded a scholarship from the Ulman Cancer Fund! I will ride for Lydia for the rest of the trip =)
Day 23: We roll out of Chicago on the Lakefront trail.
Day 23: But not before dominating the city streets! I actually really enjoy biking in the city – its action-packed!
Day 25: Leg one comes to a close as I get some alone time and do some sight-seeing in Milwaukee, WI.
