Today we rode to South Bend, home of Notre Dame and met some interesting people along the way.

I dedicated today to Joseph J. Poplaski Jr, father of my friend Kevin Poplaski. Kevin wanted to say this:

My Dad was diagnosed with cancer and given 18 months to live when I was 10. He beat the odds and lived another 11 years on an experimental treatment that did not work for anyone else in the study but him. Eventually cancer finally won, but I would never have known my Dad if he wasn’t given such an incredible opportunity that was discovered from research which was funded by charities like this.

Joseph, today is for you.
