Finally made it to Tivoli yesterday with Lauren and her Host family. Tivoli is an amusement park in the center of Copenhagen. By American standards it is tiny, but I loved it all the same. Lauren described it as cozy, and I can definitely see that in its colorful designs, close quarters, and relaxed atmosphere. The longest we waited in line may have been about 15 minutes, and only then because most of the rides were not operating at 100%. Everything was great, except for this one spinny ride that made me feel terrible. The concept was simple: spin you in circles around the center while simultaneously flipping your individual cars over. It was intense, but made more so by the fact that it went on forever. I would estimate we were probably on the ride for between 2-3 minutes.
The swings were SO high. I would estimate the base was about 30-40 feet off the ground, and the tower was another 200-300 feet. We were flying in circles WAY above the city. It was pretty intense for a swing ride!
