Day 3 started with our grumpy group having to lug our bags into the convention center with us since we would not be going back to the hotel.  This time the sessions was all about “The Theory of Change” but I didn’t get much out of it.  The speakers were pretty boring and not very skilled which together gave me little incentive to focus.  We did not even stay for the entire morning; we left after the very first “breakout session” that had us read some vague article about protesting oil in California.

The trip back was long but mildly productive.  We discussed what we learned about leadership and worked on a plan to apply to GECO.  We thought about everything from officer structure to next year’s outline and came up with some good ideas.  The question is, will we be able to implement these things?  One thing we talked about was working on creating a more social focus.  This way we could emphasize people, build a community, and establish some unity.  We hope this might improve our ability to accomplish our future goals.
